How to Use Your Touch Up Kit
Step 1: Preparation
- Clean the damaged area thoroughly with soap and water to remove dirt and grime
- Use the prep solution included in your kit to degrease the area
- Allow the surface to dry completely before proceeding
- If there is rust present, gently sand it off with fine-grit sandpaper
Step 2: Apply the Paint
- Shake the paint bottle well before use
- Use the applicator brush to apply thin, even coats of paint to the damaged area
- Allow each coat to dry for 15-20 minutes before applying the next
- Apply 2-3 thin coats for best results
- Do not apply thick coats as this can cause dripping and uneven coverage
Step 3: Finishing (Advanced Kit Only)
- Allow the paint to cure for 24-48 hours
- Apply a small amount of rubbing compound to the foam block and gently buff the repaired area
- Wipe clean with the microfiber cloth
- Apply hand glaze for extra shine and protection using the sponge
- Buff to a high shine with the microfiber cloth
